Brewing mead is as simple as combining honey, water & yeast. Drink it out of a goblet or a horn to channel the Vikings and ancient Romans who considered it to be the "nectar of the gods."

This Mead Making Kit produces a naturally semi-dry honey wine. If you want to craft a sweeter mead, try our Backsweetening Mead Kit. This ingredient kit helps you add sweetness to your mead that won't ferment out.

Our Mead Brewing Kit & Honey Bundle includes a complete Mead Making Kit PLUS 2.5 lb of honey for brewing mead. Choose from 2 varieties of raw, local honey: Clover or Midwest.

Clover honey: Some of the best honey for mead, this American clover honey is mild, sweet & beautifully floral. It's harvested from bees that pollinate clovers, one of the most common wildflowers in the eastern U.S. With more than 300 clover species nationwide, each bottle will have a slightly different flavor profile.

Midwest honey: This Midwest honey is sweet & smooth with a light, refreshing flavor. This liquid gold is harvested from bees that pollinate alfalfa, basswood, clover & sunflowers throughout the midwest.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 10x 12oz Flip Top Bottles or 8x 16 oz Flip Top Bottles
  • 1 gal Spring Water
  • 2.5 lb Honey (not included in the Mead Making Kit, but is included in the mead kit bundle)
