What is it? A 16-day celebration of authentic German beer and Bavarian culture that has become a worldwide celebration. Over 6 million people attend Oktoberfest, making it the world’s largest festival. Where is it? Munich, Germany – where it all began on October 17, 1810. The event spans over 100 acres and is filled with live music, tons of delicious food, and of course, Oktoberfest beer. When is it? Festivities kicked off on September 20, so we are sure many of you have already begun celebrating. The event technically ended October 5, but no one says you have to stop celebrating when the tents go down in Munich. You might as well declare the entire month of October “Oktoberfest”!
