Shipping & Returns

Due to increased order volumes, orders may require up to 2-4 business days to process. Find our kits on Amazon Prime for fast shipping options.

You'll receive 2 emails after your order is placed: (1) an order confirmation email when your order is received & (2) a shipping confirmation email that includes your tracking #. Our warehouse operates Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. eastern. Orders placed over the weekend or during holiday closures will processed during regular business hours. Please note that USPS, UPS & other carriers may not be operational on federal holidays which may result in shipping/transit delays.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser/recipient to closely monitor the tracking # we provide to you. Once a package leaves our warehouse, we're unable to cancel, change the address or make any other changes.

The carrier may re-route the package to a post office for pick up, in which case it is the responsibility of the customer to monitor the tracking page for such updates. Via the tracking page, the carrier may request updates to the shipping address (such as a missing unit # or an incorrect postal code). It is the responsibility of the customer to monitor the tracking # and supply any such updates to the carrier for successful delivery.

If items are returned to sender due to an insufficient address provided to Craft a Brew at checkout, we are unable to refund shipping costs. If the package is returned to sender because the recipient fails to pick up from the postal office, we are unable to refund shipping costs. 

UPS & USPS are our primary shipping partners. If you are unable to receive shipments from USPS, please contact us before placing your order. Please note that Craft a Brew is not responsible for delays incurred by USPS or UPS in transit. We are unable to ship to PO boxes.

Free shipping is applied to physical orders totaling $75+ before taxes & shipping are added and after discounts are applied. Free shipping does not apply to orders shipping outside of the contiguous United States. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Internationally are not applicable. 

Gift cards do not apply toward the $75 order total.

We work with USPS & UPS (and occasionally other carriers) to ship packages. If you can’t receive shipments from a particular mail carrier, contact us via email BEFORE placing your order: Our team chooses the best carrier for each shipment based on several factors, such as which carrier can provide the speediest service to you based on your location, the weight or size of the parcel, whether the package is traveling overseas, etc. ALL SCOBY claims will ship via USPS.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be purchased from and have an accompanying order number. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Refunds will be issued via the form of payment used at checkout OR in the form of a gift card. Contact us at in order to initiate a return. Returns not authorized via email with Craft a Brew support will not be accepted.

We accept returns on unopened or defective items within 30 days of receipt. If your purchase is more than 30 days old, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. We do not offer free return shipping. Craft a Brew will provide a return label, but the cost of the label will be deducted from the refund amount.

Catalyst Fermentation Systems must be unused and un-assembled to be eligible for a return & refund. (Zip-ties and protective plastic in-tact, otherwise product can be damaged in transit.) Upon receipt, returned items will be inspected and, if applicable, a refund will  be issued via the form of payment used at checkout. 

We ship all over the world, but we can not ship our products to countries where it is illegal to brew or consume alcohol. If you place an order shipping to a country prohibiting the production of alcohol, we'll cancel your order & issue you a refund. We are unable to ship orders to package or freight forwarding addresses.

Unfortunately, there are no returns or refunds on international orders once they leave our warehouse. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at immediately.

Due to constantly changing COVID-19 developments, many countries are experiencing service suspensions, interruptions & restrictions on imported goods. If we anticipate issues with your international shipment, we will contact you before shipping (or cancelling) your order.

If a shipment is rejected or stuck in customs, is returned to sender due to an incorrect or insufficient address, is returned to sender due to unpaid duties/taxes, is returned to sender due to recipient not picking up the package from the local postal authority, is lost in transit, or otherwise undeliverable we are unable to refund shipping costs paid at checkout, duties or taxes. Duties and taxes are NOT included in the shipping cost at checkout. Duties and taxes vary by country, so we have no way of calculating these costs before your order ships. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

When your order ships, you will receive a tracking number. It is the responsibility of the recipient to closely monitor this tracking number for status updates. International shipments normally spend 6 to 10 business days in transit, but extended shipping times are to be expected. This may vary depending on the destination country or other factors. 

Orders will require time for payment processing, address verification and order processing. Typical transit times from our Florida warehouse are depicted below. Please note that your order may take longer to reach you than expected due to carrier delays.

When some shipments fall under a certain weight threshold, a tracking # will not be populated along with the package. If you received an order confirmation email, but don't have your tracking # yet - it is coming. 

If your order contains a pre-order item, your entire order will ship once the pre-order item is available. We can not partial ship an order to two different addresses. If you need some items sent to a separate address you'll need to place two different orders.

If anything is damaged in transit, upon receipt or in use, notify Craft a Brew immediately at and we'll be happy to assist. Pictures of the damaged item or packaging, proof of purchase (order #) & a brief explanation of the issue are required.
