If you’ve ever wondered exactly how much alcohol your beer, mead or wine ended up with, a triple scale hydrometer is your answer! This tool measures the density or sugar content of a liquid sample, which helps you understand how much sugar was present before fermentation and how much of that sugar was converted into alcohol after fermentation.

We recommend using this hydrometer with a hydrometer testing tube. Collect a sample of beer before fermentation and make note of the Original Gravity Reading or OG. Collect another sample of beer after fermentation and make note of the Final gravity Reading or FG.Together, these readings help you calculate the precise alcohol by volume of your fermentation.

Used for wine, beer & hard cider, this tool measures 3 scales: 

1. Specific gravity (0.998 - 1.160)
2. Potential ABV (0 - 21%)
3. Brix (0 - 35% sugar by weight)
