Fermentation Temp Range
Each yeast strain has a temperature range where it performs best. Lagers require cooler temps, while Kveik yeasts can ferment in extreme heat. Maintaining the proper fermentation temperature for each yeast strain is crucial its health. Matching a yeast's ideal range to your environment (or your ability to control temp) is key to getting clean, consistent results.

Description

Looking for yeast to ferment a low carb lager? Try SafBrew LD-20 Yeast, a combined yeast and enzyme solution for producing dry, neutral beers with lower residual sugar and lower calories. This is a 25g packet intended for use in a 5 gallon batch of beer.

Without sacrificing alcohol content, SafBrew LD 20 is able to produce a lager with 20% lower carbohydrates* thanks to the included enzyme (*versus a lager fermented with the same yeast without enzyme).

SafBrew LD-20 Yeast consists of a strong lager yeast and a carefully chosen enzyme that performs well at low lager fermentation temperatures. The presence of enzymes in LD 20 Yeast allows for 98-102% attenuation, meaning 98-100% of the wort sugars are converted into CO2 and alcohol. The result is a very dry, very crisp low carb lager.

This solution thrives in a fermentation temperature range between 53.6 - 68ºF.
