Description

Looking for extra yeast for homebrewing beer? Try Lallemand LalBrew Abbaye Belgian Ale Yeast. This yeast strain is ideal for fermenting Belgian and Trappist style ales like Belgian Blonde, Dubbel, Tripel & Quad.

Abbaye Yeast often exhibits a vigorous fermentation that produces the spicy, fruity esters typical of Belgian Ales.

LalBrew Abbaye Belgian Ale Yeast thrives in a fermentation temperature range of 63 - 77ºF. Warm fermentation temperatures will yield more tropical, spicy & banana notes. Cooler fermentation temperatures will produce aromas of dark fruit like raisins, dates & figs.

This active dry yeast does not require hydration or a yeast starter to begin fermentation. If you want to reduce lag phase and grow yeast cell count, consider our Yeast Starter Kit. This 11g packet treats a 5 gallon batch of beer.
