Fermaid K contains a blend of inorganic nitrogen (DAP), organic nitrogen (alpha amino nitrogen), key nutrients (magnesium sulfate, thiamine, folic acid, niacin, biotin and calcium pantothenate) and inactivated yeast. No urea is used in during its production.

This product helps keep yeast in suspension, helps keep volatile acidity levels low and helps absorb fatty acids that are toxic to yeast.
Recommended dosage is 1 gram per gallon of wine. Best if added in 2 doses: half 6-12 hours after pitching the yeast, and the other half once the sugar content is depleted by 1 ⁄ 3 of original gravity (calculate gravity changes with a hydrometer). Before adding the second dose to an active fermentation, mix with room temperature water to avoid excess CO2 release and overflow.
For best results, this product should be used with a yeast rehydration nutrient like Go-Ferm to assure proper nutrition.
