Wine Tannin helps improve the overall structure and refinement of a wine. Made from the European Chestnut tree, this multi-purpose ingredient has countless functions and benefits. It protects wines from oxidation during aging, improves dull flavor and enhances a wine’s sensory profile.
This is the same Wine Tannin that is included in our Fruit Wine Kit. You can use Wine Tannin in fruit wines, red wines, white wines & rosés. Wine Tannin helps add astringency to unoaked white wines and an earthy quality to red wines.
Add wine tannin to the “must” (unfermented wine) before fermentation. Or you can use it in conjunction with gelatin finings for clarifying later in the process.
Package contains 2 oz Wine Tannin.
Recommended dose per gallon of wine:
- White or rose wines: ¼ tsp
- Red wine: ⅓ tsp
- Fruit wine: ½ tsp
