PBW - Powdered Brewery Wash

PBW cleaner is an environmentally friendly alkaline cleaner. Powdered Brewery Wash is safe for use on metals, rubber gaskets, tubing, plastic parts and your skin. PBW is a brewing cleaner that helps dislodge and remove tough, caked on fermentation debris and sediment before sanitizing kegs, fermenters, beer bottles, and more. PBW creates an alkaline brewery wash that also helps clean brewing equipment and crevices that you can’t reach with a brush, sponge, or your hands. How to use:

1. Rinse your carboy, bucket, bottles, etc. to remove as much debris as possible.

2. Dissolve 3/4 oz of PBW cleaner per gallon of 100-160 °F water.

3. Soak equipment in hot solution for 25-35 minutes. OR soak equipment in cold or room temperature water over night.

4. Rinse.

5. Now, your brewing equipment is ready for sanitizing with your preferred sanitizing solution (like Star San).
