Maintaining the proper fermentation temperature for each yeast strain is crucial its health. Matching a yeast's ideal range to your environment (or your ability to control temp) is key to getting clean, consistent results.

Looking for extra yeast for winemaking? Try Red Star Premier Cuvee Yeast in your next red, white or sparkling wine. This yeast is one of the fastest, cleanest and most neutral of all Red Star wine yeasts. This strain is the same used in our Root Beer Kit for naturally carbonating homemade soda.

Use Premier Cuvee yeast for traditional sparkling wines, Chardonnays, Cabernet Sauvignons & more. This strain helps create roundness in the finished wine for a smooth texture and mouthfeel.

This yeast performs well even in difficult winemaking conditions and can be fermented within a wide temperature range of 50 - 86ºF, producing wines up to 16% ABV.

This packet of active dry yeast ferments up to 5 gallons of wine. Red Star recommends rehydrating yeast before pitching.

How To Use Red Star Premier Cuvee Yeast:

  1. Rehydrate yeast in 50 mL of water at a temperature of 95-100ºF.
  2. Wait 20 minutes before adding to wine must.
