Polycarbonate Triple Scale Hydrometer

Regular price $9.99
A durable triple scale hydrometer designed to measure gravity, sugar content, and potential alcohol during fermentation for beer, wine, mead, cider, and kombucha brewing.
  • Triple scale brewing hydrometer
  • Reads Specific Gravity, Potential Alcohol & Brix
  • Durable shatter-resistant polycarbonate construction
  • Helps calculate ABV during fermentation
  • Compatible with beer, wine, mead, cider & kombucha brewing

A hydrometer measures the density of liquid before and after fermentation to help brewers understand how much sugar has been converted into alcohol.

By taking an Original Gravity (OG) reading before fermentation and a Final Gravity (FG) reading afterward, brewers can estimate alcohol by volume while monitoring fermentation performance and yeast activity.

Hydrometers are commonly used during beer brewing, winemaking, mead fermentation, cider production, kombucha brewing, and other fermentation projects where gravity readings help improve consistency and fermentation control.

  • Polycarbonate Triple Scale Hydrometer
  • Protective Plastic Sheath
  • Instruction Guide

This brewing hydrometer is ideal for:

  • Homebrewers
  • Mead makers
  • Winemakers
  • Hard cider brewers
  • Kombucha brewers
  • Small-batch and large-batch fermentation setups

To use, collect a liquid sample in a testing tube or the included plastic sheath. Place the hydrometer into the liquid and record the gravity reading. Repeat after fermentation to compare readings and estimate alcohol content.

  • Material: Polycarbonate plastic
  • Specific Gravity Range: 0.998–1.160
  • Potential Alcohol Range: 0–21%
  • Brix Range: 0–35% sugar by weight
  • Use Cases: Beer, wine, cider, mead, kombucha, and fermentation projects
  • Includes: Hydrometer, plastic sheath, instructions
