Here at Craft a Brew we’re on a mission to turn craft beer lovers into craft beer brewers with our premium homebrew kits. Designed to help first-timers and hobbyists alike make the best possible beer in their very own kitchens, right out of the box. Since 2010, we’ve been perfecting our easy-to-use kits, sourcing the freshest ingredients from the same suppliers of the American craft beer industry and proudly assembling each kit by hand, under one roof in Orlando, FL.

KyleWhat beer(s) got you interested in craft beer & brewing? In college I visited the Czech Republic and tried Pilsner Urquell which was my first introduction to a hop forward Pilsner. After returning I started exploring hoppier beer styles which lead into brewing my own. Furthest you’ve traveled to visit a brewery or attend a beer festival? When traveling from Oslo Norway I took a train ride on the Flam Railway through the mountains and ended at a Fjord where I was to take a ferry ride to another town. Fortunately there was a brewpub there called Ægir Brewery which looked like a Viking hut, the beer was definitely worth the journey! Favorite beer/style? Living in Florida you have to have a favorite hot weather beer, mine is still Pilsner Urquell. Fun fact about you (hidden talent, where you’re from, accomplishment, etc.): I learned to water ski when I was 3 years old What do you do for fun / what are some of your hobbies? Brewing is still my top hobby but I do love golf Favorite Craft a Brew recipe? Probably the Floral Saison, I originally developed this recipe for my sister’s wedding and it is still a favorite to this day Favorite brewery (or beer town) you’ve visited? I go to Asheville a few times a year and love visiting Burial Brewing Co. |
KaleyWhat beer(s) got you interested in craft beer & brewing? Wheat beers like Shock Top got me into craft beer. And from there I dove headfirst into Belgians. Golden Monkey was my go-to. Furthest you’ve traveled to visit a brewery or attend a beer festival? I’ve traveled as far north as Detroit & as far west as Portland for good beer! Favorite beer/style? Anything treated with coffee or a coconut porter. Cold IPAs are a new style that I’m enjoying, too. Fun fact about you (hidden talent, where you’re from, accomplishment, etc.): I took a beer & brewing course at FSU! What do you do for fun / what are some of your hobbies? I love plants and have a vegetable garden. I also love hiking, canoeing and spotting birds all around Florida. Favorite Craft a Brew recipe? I love our Chocolate Milk Stout, every time I brew it I add a new ingredient (like peanut butter powder or coconut). Favorite brewery (or beer town) you’ve visited? Two Tides Brewing in Savannah, GA! They make the best hazies I’ve ever tried. |

ArenWhat beer(s) got you interested in craft beer & brewing? The first craft beer I tried was St. Bernardus App 12. I still enjoy it. Furthest you’ve traveled to visit a brewery or attend a beer festival? Oakland to visit Mikkeller’s tap room. Favorite beer/style? Recently, Japanese rice lager & good old fashioned pilsners Fun fact about you (hidden talent, where you’re from, accomplishment, etc.): I played highschool basketball with Amar'e Stoudemire What do you do for fun / what are some of your hobbies? I garden and have over 170 different plant species in my yard. Favorite Craft a Brew recipe? “Slainte” - the hoppy Irish Red Ale from the Craft Society subscription box. Favorite brewery (or beer town) you’ve visited? St. Petersburg, FL and surrounding area. |
ConnorWhat beer(s) got you interested in craft beer & brewing? I want to college in Tallahassee, so I got into craft beer mostly through trying out local breweries like Proof. Furthest you’ve traveled to visit a brewery or attend a beer festival? I’ve gone as far as Portland, OR to try new beers (as well as great food and coffee) Favorite beer/style? I typically go for lighter styles like Pilsners or Session IPAs, but when the time is right, I also love an rich and heavy Imperial Stout Fun fact about you (hidden talent, where you’re from, accomplishment, etc.): I’ve played the trombone since middle school, and throughout the years I’ve had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall, march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and tour the country competing with the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps What do you do for fun / what are some of your hobbies? I enjoy studying a variety of foreign languages, as well as reading and playing video games. I’m also a huge fan of football and soccer, in particular the Buffalo Bills and Chelsea Football Club Favorite Craft a Brew recipe? Fool’s Gold - it’s very flavorful, and it’s light color messes with your head and your tastebuds Favorite brewery (or beer town) you’ve visited? One of my favorite breweries I’ve been to in the last few years was Pretentious Beer Co. in Knoxville, TN. It’s a small and friendly location with great beers, handmade glassware, and fun art for each of the taps |

BaileyWhat beer(s) got you interested in craft beer & brewing? Stone IPA was the first craft beer and first IPA that I tried. It was so intense and I loved it! A homebrewer friend got me into home brewing and we dove right into all-grain 5 gallon batches that we shared with friends. Furthest you’ve traveled to visit a brewery or attend a beer festival? San Diego to visit The Lost Abbey and Seattle to visit Fremont. Favorite beer/style? The beer that I never get sick of is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I can buy it anywhere in the country and it’s always consistent and fairly fresh. I love something about every beer style, but my favorites to try are spontaneously fermented wild ales. Fun fact about you (hidden talent, where you’re from, accomplishment, etc.): I’m obsessed with music and have over 1,000 records. What do you do for fun / what are some of your hobbies? I like to make playlists, ferment food & drinks and have movie nights with friends. Favorite Craft a Brew recipe? Floral Saison Favorite brewery (or beer town) you’ve visited? My favorite beer town is a few towns together really, but the bay area of Florida including Tampa, St Pete, and Dunedin is by far one of the greatest beer destinations in the country! |
