Fill the airlock chamber with sanitized water or airlock solution to the recommended fill line. Insert the airlock into a compatible drilled rubber stopper or fermenter lid.

As fermentation progresses, CO2 bubbles will pass through the liquid barrier while helping prevent outside oxygen, bacteria, and debris from entering the fermenter.
