It enhances body and mouthfeel while contributing a light golden hue, making it suitable for stouts, brown ales, Scotch ales, and hazy or New England–style IPAs. At 6 degrees Lovibond, it provides gentle color development and a delicate roasted aroma that blends easily with both pale and dark grain bills.
