Use Calcium Carbonate to adjust your water chemistry. A helpful acid reduction powder, Calcium Carbonate (chalk) adjusts the pH of your mash, raising the pH in soft or acidic water. Excellent for offsetting the acidity of dark malts or for brewers in regions with naturally soft water, this powder helps maintain a balanced pH for better fermentation.

This multi-use ingredient also helps with flocculation, reducing unwanted proteins and improving clarity. The added calcium also helps promote yeast health and fermentation performance.

Use 1 gram per gallon to raise calcium by 106 ppm, 158 ppm carbonate.
