Malic Acid is the go-to acid for adding a bright, apple-like zing to hard ciders, fruit-forward wines, and meads. Naturally present in apples, this powdered acid brings crisp, slightly sour flavor and helps balance acidity after fermentation.
Use Malic Acid to fine-tune your batch post-fermentation - perfect for enhancing complexity and improving mouthfeel in apple wines, melomels, and fruit blends. It’s not as sharp as citric or tartaric acid, making it ideal for a softer but still vibrant finish.
Add a small amount to your fermenter after fermentation is complete. Taste after 24 hours and adjust to reach your desired acidity.
