Made a pretty solid and hop forward beer! I will be buying again
This beer was very easy to brew and smells great in the secondary fermentation stage after the dry hop charge. Should be bottling this weekend so it will be a while before I get to drink it.
This is the 1st time that I attempted to brew a hoppy brew and Im glad I did. This beer turned out perfectly hoppy as I'd hoped, all my friends loved it as well, unfortunately we finished it off very quickly so get a 5 gal kit if you want a hoppy beer.
I had a mistake somewhere in this brew, as it has come out horribly lol. This was my first Craftabrew that hasnt been drinkable, so I'm thinking I messed something up. Possibly too much sediment, or too long dry hopping. My schedule didn't allow me to pull out the liquid gold after a week dry hopped, and it sat for a few extra days. Thinking that is the cause of the taste, because before the dry hop it smelt like a normal yummy hoppy beer. Post dry hop it smells like a wet dog that died in a pile of hops. Tastes like an almost burnt grassy bitterness, as if you took a bite of raw rhubarb, broccoli rabe, and a swig of IPA. Needless to say, I pulled another beer (evil jack PSL) out of primary last night and left plenty, of sediment behind. I took off a star because I wish each kit came with instructions. Would have been helpful to know to not leave the dry hop past a week. All the instructions say is to throw in after a week. We live and learn though!
For a hop flavored wheat beer this one is hard to beat. A great beer for that refreshed feeling
