So delicious that we will be making this again soon.
We never got to taste the beer as there were some technical issues during the fermentation process. My husband couldn't tell exactly where the one gallon mark was on the jug and slightly overfilled it. The fermentation was "exuberant" to say the least and the cork and ventilation tubing popped off. Tried to salvage it but happened again and lost a lot of the substrate so we had to scrap the batch. Going to try again! My husband felt that the kit was easy to use overall except for this issue.
Ordered this kit skepticle that I could really make beer with such minimal equipment.. well I could and they turned out great. These kits provide a baseline learning curve for new brewers such as myself and I’m actually looking and whipping up another batch today. Thanks.
Bought this for my boyfriend. So far so good the only reason giving 3 stars is because the stopper that goes on the bottle fell through while we were trying to close it and than we couldn’t get it out so we had improvise with that we had and hopefully nothing was contaminated otherwise the 3 years we spent making it will be waisted.
The American Pale Ale kit was a gift for my brother in law. I just tried the Octoberfest beer and the first bottle seemed a little too much hop flavor, but after the second bottle it was much better. Maybe the more it aged the better it gets. Next batch is the White House Honey Ale.
