This beer brewing kit showcases a single hop variety of your choice. Every hop variety is unique, this can include flavors described as piney, earthy, tropical fruit, lemon, dank, white wine, lime, spicy, grapefruit, herbal... the list goes on!
All of these beers will use the same malt base, which is ideal for letting the hop variety shine with each batch you brew. The finished IPA will be light in body and color with a freshly bitter finish. We will have a rotating choice of hops featured throughout the year so if you see one you want to try, grab it before it's gone!
Currently Featured Single Hop Recipes:
Comet - Though it’s been around since the early 1960’s, Comet is having a new surge in popularity. High alpha acids make it a fantastic bittering hop, but you can coax out zesty grapefruit & green grassy notes with late additions. Brewers have described it as having dank “wild American” character as well as citrus, lemongrass, fruit & resin notes. Picture hiking through a national park & snacking on a tangerine while looking out over a grassy plain - that’s what this IPA tastes like.
Cascade - This US grown hop features a floral spiciness. The aroma of Cascade comes with citrus, sometimes compared to grapefruit. This is a true American hop variety.

Looking for the 5 gallon recipe?
This was a great IPA- not too hoppy. Our first attempt wasn’t successful because we didn’t have the capping kit which resulted in a batch of flat beer. We learned from that mistake and the second time around it turned out great!
Our thermometer was broken in half when we received it. Maybe fix the packaging so it is more cushioned and won’t break?
Now that we are in lockdown because of the pandemic, I was looking for DIY projects that would make this time pass by quicker instead of going crazy and I found this company online. I bought two kits and the beer is not ready (still fermenting) but I had a great time doing it and I can't wait to try the beer! I loved learning how the ingredients affect the taste and how clean the process has to be in order to avoid bacteria. I will probably start buying the recipes for our next beers!
Fun time, everything you need in a box. The only thing I would update is a video with more details.
