This Single Hop IPA 5 Gallon beer recipe kit lets you brew a clean, hop-forward American IPA that highlights the unique flavor and aroma of a single hop variety and is ready to drink in about four weeks.
Makes 5 gallons (approximately 48–54 bottles) of Single Hop IPA
Ready to drink in about 4 weeks
Single-hop American IPA featuring Cascade hops
A clean stage for one hop
This kit exists to show you what Cascade tastes like, so the yeast should stay completely in the background. US-05 does that and gives you a dependable dry finish, which keeps the grapefruit and pine sharp all the way to the last sip.
Ferment at 64-79°F
Attenuation 78-82%
Flocculation Medium
Clean and neutral
Rounder, with the bitterness softened
Flagship gives you a fuller West Coast IPA, with the Cascade bitterness sitting a touch softer. It puts almost nothing of its own into the glass, so the hop still does all the talking. Mid range flocculation, so it clears slowly.
Ferment at 60-72°F
Attenuation 73-77%
Flocculation Low-Medium
Extremely clean
More citrus than the hop alone
Ferment this one cool and it develops a soft citrus note of its own. On a beer hopped entirely with Cascade that lands right on top of the grapefruit, so you end up with more citrus in the glass than the hop delivers by itself. It also finishes fuller than US-05.
Ferment at 60-72°F
Attenuation 73-77%
Flocculation Low-Medium
Clean and versatile
The most hop forward version
If the point of the kit is tasting Cascade, this is the strain that gives you the most of it, because it lifts hop flavor and aroma rather than sitting underneath them. Run it warm and the Cascade gets louder while the finish tightens. Run it cool and more malt stays in the picture.
Ferment at 64-73°F
Attenuation 73-85%
Flocculation Medium
Clean and hop forward

Flavor Profile & Beer Style
The Cascade Single Hop IPA is built to highlight hop character without distraction. A clean, neutral malt base provides a light body and golden color, allowing Cascade hops to take center stage.
Expect a bright, balanced profile with classic notes of grapefruit, citrus peel, and floral aromatics, supported by subtle pine and a touch of herbal spice. Bitterness is firm yet smooth, creating a crisp, refreshing finish that showcases why Cascade remains a defining hop in American IPA brewing.

How the Brewing Process Works
Brewing your Single Hop IPA follows a classic American IPA brewing process:
Brew: Steep specialty grains, boil the wort, and add hops according to the recipe
Ferment: Ferment with American ale yeast until clean and fully attenuated
Enjoy: Ready to drink in about 4 weeks
Using the same malt base each time allows you to clearly evaluate how different hop varieties express themselves in the finished beer.
New to Liquid Yeast?
Liquid yeast can deliver excellent fermentation performance and a wider range of strain options, but it’s a living, perishable product that requires a little extra care.
Liquid yeast may arrive warm. Ice packs help reduce heat exposure but do not guarantee cold arrival.
Refrigerate it when received and plan to brew as soon as possible.
We recommend adding an insulated mailer + ice pack to liquid yeast orders.
During May–September, dry yeast is strongly recommended due to higher shipping temperatures.
Liquid yeast is final sale and cannot be replaced due to heat exposure during transit.
Homebrewers who want to compare hop varieties side by side
Drinkers who enjoy crisp bitterness and aromatic hops
Because it’s brewed in larger volume, this kit is perfect for sharing, tasting, and learning how different hops shape an IPA.
