Brew a juicy, low-ABV New England-style IPA with a soft, hazy body and bold tropical hop aroma from El Dorado, Azacca, and Cashmere.
Makes 5 gallons (approximately 48–54 bottles) of Hazy Session IPA
Ready to drink in about 4 weeks
Low-ABV hazy session IPA
Designed for modern hop-forward flavor
Apricot, soft body, most of the hop
Verdant is what we put behind this kit. You get apricot and tropical notes sitting under the hops plus more body than a standard American strain, which a small beer makes good use of. It also works on the dry hops rather than just fermenting past them.
Ferment at 64-77°F
Attenuation 75-82%
Flocculation Medium
Apricot and soft body
Juicy and reliably hazy
Juice amplifies the Azacca and Cashmere and keeps the beer soft and cloudy without any effort on your part. It rises hard during the first few days, which is exactly when the early dry hop lands.
Ferment at 64-74°F
Attenuation 72-76%
Flocculation Medium
Juicy and hazy
Soft, with sweetness to spare
1318 finishes slightly sweet, which gives a small beer a full, soft middle. That is exactly what a session hazy is built on, and it balances heavy late hopping beautifully.
Ferment at 64-74°F
Attenuation 71-75%
Flocculation High
Soft, fruity, slightly sweet
Tropical fruit of its own
London Fog adds pineapple and ruby red grapefruit on top of the El Dorado, Azacca and Cashmere, so the beer tastes more heavily hopped than it is, and it leaves a velvety mouthfeel behind. It also holds haze better than anything else here.
Ferment at 64-72°F
Attenuation 75-82%
Flocculation Low-Medium
Pineapple and velvet

Flavor Profile & Beer Style
Hazy Session IPA is a lighter take on the New England IPA style, focusing on hop aroma and softness rather than bitterness or alcohol strength. Citrus and tropical fruit notes lead the profile, supported by a smooth, rounded mouthfeel.
Flaked oats, wheat, and Carapils contribute body and haze, while restrained bitterness keeps the beer clean, juicy, and highly drinkable.

How the Brewing Process Works
Brewing your Hazy Session IPA follows a modern New England–style IPA brewing process:
Brew: Steep specialty grains, boil the wort, and add hops as directed
Ferment: Ferment with Verdant IPA yeast to encourage expressive hop aroma
Optional Step: Dry hop during fermentation for enhanced tropical character
Enjoy: Ready to drink in about 4 weeks
Careful fermentation temperature control helps preserve hop aroma while maintaining the beer’s soft mouthfeel and balanced bitterness.
New to Liquid Yeast?
Liquid yeast can deliver excellent fermentation performance and a wider range of strain options, but it’s a living, perishable product that requires a little extra care.
Liquid yeast may arrive warm. Ice packs help reduce heat exposure but do not guarantee cold arrival.
Refrigerate it when received and plan to brew as soon as possible.
We recommend adding an insulated mailer + ice pack to liquid yeast orders.
During May–September, dry yeast is strongly recommended due to higher shipping temperatures.
Liquid yeast is final sale and cannot be replaced due to heat exposure during transit.
A juicy, hop-forward Hazy Session IPA with a smooth, hazy appearance and low perceived bitterness. Expect bright tropical and citrus hop aromas, a soft, creamy mouthfeel, and a refreshing finish that stays easy-drinking. Brewed at around 4.6% ABV, this beer delivers bold hop flavor without heaviness—perfect for enjoying more than one.
