✅ Beginner-friendly with step-by-step brewing support

Cold IPA is a modern hybrid IPA that combines lager yeast with hop-forward brewing techniques to create a clean, crisp, and highly drinkable beer.

This Cold IPA 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit produces a bright, refreshing IPA with a lighter body and dry finish. The use of cool, lager-like fermentation — with the exact range depending on your chosen yeast strain — creates a smooth, clean profile that allows hop aroma to stand out without heaviness.

Expect a balanced beer with citrus-forward hop notes, subtle tropical character, and a crisp finish that makes it easy to enjoy pint after pint.

This 5-gallon recipe kit includes all the ingredients needed to brew Cold IPA at home:

Pilsen Dry Malt Extract
Carapils specialty grains
Grain Steeping Bag
Magnum hops for bitterness
Citra & Mosaic hops for flavor & dry hopping
Dextrose for an ABV boost
Your choice of yeast (dry yeast, liquid yeast, or no yeast if you have your own)

Note: Brewing equipment is not included. This kit is designed for brewers who already own a 5-gallon brewing setup.

Brewing your Cold IPA follows a modern IPA brewing process:

• Brew: Steep grains, boil the wort, and add hops as directed
• Ferment: Ferment cool, like a lager — the ideal temperature range depends on which yeast strain you choose
• Optional Step: Dry hop during fermentation to enhance aroma
• Enjoy: Ready to drink in about 4 weeks

Careful fermentation temperature control helps maintain the beer’s clean finish while allowing hop character to shine.

Liquid yeast can deliver excellent fermentation performance and a wider range of strain options, but it’s a living, perishable product that requires a little extra care.

Liquid yeast may arrive warm. Ice packs help reduce heat exposure but do not guarantee cold arrival.
Refrigerate it when received and plan to brew as soon as possible.
We recommend adding an insulated mailer + ice pack to liquid yeast orders.
During May–September, dry yeast is strongly recommended due to higher shipping temperatures.
Liquid yeast is final sale and cannot be replaced due to heat exposure during transit.
